试听课简介:

OPMA 5364《Project Management》

课程涵盖了有效进行项目管理所涉及的一些概念和有关内容。涉及内容包括项目选择,项目计划,谈判,制定预算,日程安排,资源分配,项目控制,项目审计和项目终止等方面的内容。

Course covers concepts and issues important in effectively managing projects. Topics include project selection, project planning, negotiation, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, project control, project auditing, and project termination.

 

课程目标:

1. Appreciate the variety of concepts and issues involved in project management.

2. Understand the types of decisions a project manager must make to effectively complete a project on time and on budget.  Understand the conflicting demands from different parties on the manager.

3. Be able to use popular project management software such as Microsoft Project.

4. Be able to apply concepts from this course to a real project management environment.

5. Students are assumed to be familiar with Excel and analytical methods

Areas of Expertise/Research: International agility as regards the supply chain function, small and medium sized firms, international business, and medical systems.

Dr. Prater has received research grants from the French Government and teaching awards from UTA, Georgia Tech and the US Air Force.
